New Year, New You?
Written By: Nick Dunson and Jackson Hutchinson
New year, new you...right? According to a poll of 100 Creekview High students, the top resolutions consist of getting healthier and improving grades. Does this sound like you?
When making your New Year’s resolutions, we recommend that you keep your current struggles in mind; otherwise, your goals may flop. Setting higher standards for yourself one step at a time and working your way up to the finish line goal is the best path to success. Have you been successful at keeping up with your new goal?
If your answer is no, then rest assured that you are not alone. As the month nears its close, many people are struggling to stick to the resolutions that they were so determined to make. Although the desire may be there, the follow-through is not quite as “resolute.”
Out of the 100 Creekview High School students that were interviewed, the majority mentioned a desire to eat healthier. When asked how long they intend to keep this resolution, many laughed and explained that they either hadn’t started or already gave up. This is normally the case when people try to jump into something without truly thinking it through.
Are you afraid you will never be successful at sticking to your goals? Well... Don’t Be! There is always a way to get back on track! With genuine support and the right mindset, there is still a chance to correct your resolutions.

Spirit Week Shenanigans
Written by: Matt Sykes
With Creekview’s homecoming dance right around the corner, our annual homecoming spirit week comes right before it. Every year building up to the dance, student government puts together five themes for each corresponding day within a week for people to dress up for fun. With much anticipation the students at Creekview high school are already planning out their costumes, after several interviews this is what our student body has planned.
Marvel Monday: Dress as your favorite superhero –it doesn’t even have to be Marvel. Although, are there really any non-marvel characters worth dressing up as?
Tuckered Out Tuesday: Are you one of the many students dream of the day that you can stumble out of bed and go directly to school, still in your pajamas? If so, Tuckered Out Tuesday is your chance! Make this day count because pajama days are rare and far between, and when they do happen, they sure are appreciated.. so mark your calendars and don’t miss this day of comfort and slothfulness!
Western Wednesday: Finally, a spirit week idea we haven't all done 10+ times! But seriously, grab your blue jeans, boots, cowboy hats, lassos, and flannel shirts and dress up this Wednesday for Western Wednesday. (Odds are that spurs are not dress code so the Creekview Clawprint does not recommend this)
Throwback Thursday: Dress just like you used to as a kid! There are so many ways to dress for this fun day. However, Mrs. Rampley recommends that you “take your picture from your first day of kindergarten” and follow that as closely as possible!
Freaky Friday: Are you regretting spending all that money on your Halloween costume just to wear it once? Well, worry no more! Now you can wear your costume at least twice because you will fit in perfectly on Freaky Friday! Whether you decide to dress up as a werewolf or a Disney princess, you will fit right in this Friday. You won’t want to miss it!
Clearly, we are in for an exciting week! So, go ahead and plan out all your costumes so that you can have a stress-free homecoming week full of wacky outfits, ridiculous costumes, and even pajamas. The Creekview Clawprint wishes you a great homecoming week and we will see you at the dance!
