Matt Sykes was born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 1st, 2001. He has played lacrosse for six years and has played defense all that time. He spends most of his time at school, on the field, or working at Chick-Fil-A. In Matt’s free time he loves spending time outdoors, hanging out with his friends and family, and playing with his dog, Bentley. Matt stays involved in the school through various clubs and activities like Journalism, Lacrosse, NHS, and TSA. Matt joined journalism in 2017 and is one of the three editors for the Clawprint.
Introducing Jace Whitley, student body president for Creekview Highschool and one of the three editors for the Clawprint. He is a part of the Creekview marching band as a percussionist and hopes to go to either the University of Georgia or Georgia Tech to major in mechanical engineering. He is a Boy Scout who plans on achieving his Eagle Scout by the Spring of 2020 and has over 1200 service hours. Jace also participates in Creekview's aeronautics club and has gone to nationals two out of 3 years so far, once placing 4th nationally.
Introducing Emily McPhail, a senior at Creekview High School. Emily joined journalism because she loves to write in 2017 and would like to major in sports journalism at college. In her free time Emily likes to spend time with friends and family, make late night Waffle House trips, and watch a great deal of Netflix. As for extra-curricular activities, Emily is involved in the Creekview High School Drumline and is the leadership committer officer in Spanish Club.
Introducing McKinley Brock, a 16 year old and a junior at Creekview Highschool. She cheered for six years before she quit to focus on work and school. She works at Parlour & Main Salon in Ballground, GA. I hope to one day go into the cosmetology field and start working full time in a salon. In her free time she loves eating and watching scary movies with her friends. Mckinley is a writer for the review column at the Clawprint and helps edit the student life and events around Georgia column.
Jake Cantrell is a senior at Creekview High School this year and is a writer for the Clawprint's sports column. At Creekview he is involved with the Track & Field's Varsity team and competes in the spring. Outside of school Jake has a summer job at the Outdoor YMCA on Lake Allatoona where he works as a camp counselor. Jake is currently an Eagle Scout, the highest rank in scouting, and has been a scout for five years. Jake enjoys hanging out with his friends playing recreational sports and video games like NBA 2k20 where they compete on their Pro-Am team the Canton Wild Hogs. He also competes in a Fantasy Football League and loves to write about the analytics behind each team.

Anna Donaldson is a junior and a writer for the Clawprint News Student Life page. She is interested in music and current events around our community and loves to write about it all. During the winter and spring, she is involved in Creekview's Winter Guard program and has been since her freshman year. As a journalist for the Creekview Clawprint, she hopes to capture the life of Creekview and put it into writing.

Nick Dunson is a senior this year. He spent this past summer backpacking in the Midwest on a Boy Scout High Adventure called Philmont. Nick also likes to run track and swim in the fall and spring respectively. When he’s not doing those things, Nick likes to listen to music and work out at the gym with his friends. He currently plans to attend the University of North Georgia.
Introducing Lexie Holder, a writer for the Clawprint Student Newspaper. Lexie is a transfer student from the McIntosh Trail newspaper in Peachtree City Georgia to the Clawprint staff at Creekview Highschool. She co-manages the social media for the Clawprint and writes for the students life column. Her aspirations in writing are to attend Mercer or the University of Georgia, major in Journalism, and eventually write for a major sports magazine.
This is Jackson Hutchins. He spends most of his time at church either volunteering or participating in activities such as church retreats. Jackson loves to constantly look to improve himself so he can be his best self all the time by actively volunteering to multiple organizations. In his free time Jackson enjoys watching YouTube, working out at the gym, or hanging out with his friends. When he’s not doing those things, he works at the Onelife Fitness in their kid’s club. He isn’t sure of where he wants to go to school exactly but is heavily interested in education and ministry.
McLain Martin is a senior high school student. His favorite extra-curricular is soccer as he has played for Creekview’s team his freshman and junior year as goalie. However, McLain now found his passion in rock climbing, as it allows him to be the best he can be without having to rely on a team. This sport is hand in hand with his part time job as a camp counselor at Sawnee Mountain Park, giving him the chance to do what he loves while he works. While being new to the Clawprint, McLain is the writer for the “Events Around Georgia” column, letting him make reviews about the community he loves.
Introducing Krisanne Phillips, a writer for the school paper Clawprint. Krisanne’s a sophomore and currently is an aspiring writer who thoroughly enjoys creative writing and would one day like to be a published author. Eventually she would like to win a Best-Seller award for a book, but for now is the journalist for the Clawprint’s review and ask column.
This is Matthew Rudolph, a senior at Creekview high school. He works in the kitchen at Chick-fil-a Canton Marketplace and is about to finish his first year. He enjoys journalism because he now has the chance to write about sports and fantasy football, something he truly has a passion for. He has played basketball and soccer for 5 and 9 years respectively. In his free time, he like to hang out with friends or hop on NBA2K19 to play for his pro-am team, the Canton Wild Hogs. Matthew wants to study computer engineering in college and hopes to go to the University of Georgia or the University of Florida.

Meghan, being an ardent writer, enjoys writing about things that make people think, feel, and become inspired to do something more.
Tyler Silvers is a senior and a writer for the Clawprint Ask Column. He is a former boy scout and a current NHS member. In his free time he watches movies, TV shows, plays video games, and spends time with his family and friends. he loves to travel and explore many unique locations and experiences abroad. Tyler is a part of journalism this year so he can stay up to date with everything at our school.
Brice Trout is a senior at Creekview and is one of our writers for the sports column. Brice enjoys playing sports, video games, and likes to hang out with his friends in his spare time. Brice is involved in many extracurricular activities including Beta Club, Friends Club, National Honors Society, and is also on the Varsity Tennis Team at Creekview. He also takes pride on being on the 2k Pro Am Team, the Canton Wild Hogs. In the future, Brice hopes to bring compelling articles to the Clawprint News in the 2019-2020 school year.
Blake Turner is a senior this year at Creekview high school who just finished getting his Eagle Scout. He spent the last summer backpacking in New Mexico with his Boy Scout troop and In his free time, he enjoys watching sports and exploring the great outdoors. Blake enjoys playing NBA 2k19 with his stand-up Pro-Am team, the Canton Wild Hogs. He would like to write about topics such as sports and outdoors to channel his inner journalist. He loves sports and he is a huge professional sports fan. He also would love to explore the food community, as he loves to eat. Blake is extremely proud to have met Trae Young, an Atlanta Hawks player, at the airport over the summer. Blake is an avid Fantasy Football Player and loves competing with his friends.
